A recycled huipil (blouse) gives shape to this shoulder bag. This colorful cotton huipil is worn by the women of Chichicastenango, which is famous for its market, says Monica Almorza of her design. Trimmed with dark brown leather, the bag's florid cotton panel is woven on a backstrap loom in a plethora of vibrant colors. The beige interior features one zipper pocket. Proud of her Guatemalan origins, Almorza completes her design with her trademark collection of traditional items that include a cotton worry doll, a pinewood ram figurine, a colorful pompom, and tassels.
